Consumer advocates and legislative Democrats are furious over comments made by the acting chief of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

In a speech given at the American Bankers Association’s Government Relations Summit, CFPB Acting Director Mick Mulvaney had some good advice for bankers.

Mulvaney, who noted that he’d like to eliminate public access to the bureau’s complaint database, advised the group about lobbying members of Congress.
