I love it when politicians, or anyone, whine about the government being involved in the financial services sector, or housing finance. You’re telling me “private capital” has the strength to replace Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, or the Federal Reserve, in this kind of environment? There is, of course, chatter about how about large banks or Agencies that have lent money to companies to finance their servicing portfolios. How’s that collateral?
