In addition to falling from a month earlier and a year earlier, the number of consumer bankruptcy filings has retreated for three consecutive months.
Total bankruptcy filings during November, including commercial and non-commercial filings, came to 59,300, falling from 63,055 the prior month.
In addition to the month-over-month improvement, new bankruptcy filings were down on a year-over-year basis, off from 65,562 a year previous.
