Applications for multifamily mortgage insurance from the Federal Housing Administration have been suspended in counties that felt the fury of Hurricane Harvey.
The Department of Housing and Urban Development has issued a directive to stop taking new applications and delay those that are pending in affected areas.
Counties impacted by Hurricane Harvey and designated as presidentially declared disaster areas are affected by HUD’s decision to halt applications.<
