The founder and chairman of James B. Nutter & Co., who was a strong supporter of liberal causes and politicians, has died.
James B. Nutter founded the Kansas City, Missouri-based mortgage banking firm that operated under his name back in 1951.
The company was among the first home lenders to offer residential loans that are guaranteed by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
