Anyone looking for relief from rising home prices didn’t find it in the latest set of home price indices. Markets in the western half of the country continued to dominate the increases.
As of March of this year, the S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller Composite-20 Index was 208.62. The index is a closely watched barometer of U.S. home values.
A 1.0 percent gain was made in the index versus one month earlier. Compared to the same month last year, the index has ascended 6.8 percent.
