President Donald J. Trump’s choice for acting director at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau arrived at the bureau Monday and assumed control amid a pending lawsuit.

Trump last week tapped Mick Mulvaney to be acting CFPB director. Mulvaney already serves in the administration as director of the White House Office of Management and Budget.
