A new survey suggests that consumers — Republican and Democrat — haven’t been swayed by Trump administration efforts to paint the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau as bad for the economy.

Results of the survey of a thousand likely voters were released this week by Americans for Financial Reform and the Center for Responsible Lending.

It was conducted in late June and early July by Lake Research Partners and Chesapeake Beach Consulting — a firm that frequently represents right-leaning clients.
